Solomon's Stables
Description

Israel 3000 Years - Solomon's Stables

Rabbi Dr. Natan Lopes Cardozo, a leading modern Jewish philosopher and educator, emphasizes the uniqueness of Israel, and the Jewish nation as the oldest living civilization in the world. The English type face used is similar in style to Hebrew type, and there is an emphasis with the placement of the words - 3,000 years - near the bottom with the photo, to draw attention and expression to the ancient connection to the land.

The words are designed in with a picture of the labyrinth of archways forming the support structure for the Temple courtyard. It was once thought to be a place where King Solomon might have stabled his horses, but it is actually the ancient building method for making a flat platform on a mountain. This picture is a watercolor wash made from an old photo (photographer unknown) of the antiquities that unfortunately no longer exist because the Palestinian Waqf (religious authority) has destroyed this area in an attempt to erase any Jewish connection with the site.

Israel
The only country in the world
That bears the same name,
Speaks the same language,
Upholds the same faith, and
Inhabits the same land as it did
3000 years ago.
